OUR STORY
Elena Hercule Jean-Francois is the Owner and CEO of HJ Construction Group, Inc.
She is a 25-year Construction Management Professional with General Contractor Experience in the States of Florida and Massachusetts. Her foundation pillars are God, Family, and Community. Haitian born and raised, she immigrated to the United States at 17. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Master's in Construction Management from Florida International University.
She's a Goal-driven leader focused on strategic growth, process improvements, and building sustainable industry partnerships. She has diverse experience and expertise in overall project management, strategic planning, construction software implementation, and training that optimize resources, greater operational effectiveness, and efficiency, focusing on continuous improvement.
She worked as a Vice President for Medium Size Commercial Contractor. She was a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineer for various public and private projects. Including the prestigious luxury condo/penthouse interiors at Las Olas River House towering over the Downtown Fort Lauderdale skyline, standing an impressive 42 stories tall, The Symphony Towers, a twin 22 Story Building in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, TRYP Maritime by Wyndham 8 Story 150 bedroom hotel, Grande Isles 240 Garden-style Apartments in Coral Springs, FL, over 3,000 renovated apartments a year from Florida to Texas, Logan Airport Terminal B Expansion and Fuel Pipeline project, State of the Art tenant improvement Valley Forge Headquarters, and miscellaneous government capital projects including Fire Station #73 in Belle Glade and county parks improvements in Broward County, FL. A coach and mentor to her peers, she has a proven record with the ability to build positive and sustainable relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and create and lead an organizational culture of collaboration, both internally and externally.
She's the host of the "Ann Bati Ansanm" Facebook Live Show, Building Builders Podcast, and one of the founding members of Leonie's kitchen and garden. She volunteers for multiple organizations as a construction advisor.
